LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Researchers at the University of Michigan have found that first-year college students who feel a sense of belonging in class and on campus are more likely to experience social and academic success.
According to Blake Glatley, a U-M graduate student in the Combined Program in Education and Psychology and the report’s author, students who feel they belong in their classes and on campus are more likely to form connections with their classmates and dormmates.
