Michigan judge charged in embezzlement scheme targeting vulnerable adults

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Four people, including a sitting judge, have been charged in an alleged yearslong embezzlement scheme.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan announced the charges Friday against 59-year-old Nancy Williams, 72-year-old Avery Bradley, 69-year-old Dwight Rashad and 46-year-old Andrea Bradley-Baskin.

All four were charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Bradley received an additional charge of wire fraud. Bradley, Bradley-Baskin and Rashad were also indicted on multiple counts of money laundering. Bradley-Baskin was also charged with one count of making a false statement to law enforcement.
