Hamburg Family Fun Fest aims to beat world record for most Supermen

If you notice a record number of people wearing red capes and blue shirts at the Hamburg Family Fun Fest in June, there’s a good reason.

This year, the festival hopes to make history under the H.E.R.O. World Record Challenge, setting the record for the largest number of people dressed as Superman. The official attempt will take place at 1 p.m. June 19 at Manly Bennett Park, 10231 Merrill Road.

The attempt will celebrate real-life heroes, whether they serve, support, protect, teach, heal or inspire. In particular, those encouraged to participate are police officers, firefighters, emergency medical service personnel, doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, veterans, active military members, teachers, and school administrators and staff…
