PITTSFIELD TWP., MI – Two men are no longer facing charges of open murder in the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man last year.
Adonis Sweatt and Devonte Owens both waived their preliminary examinations on Tuesday, Feb. 3, sending their cases up to the Washtenaw County Trial Court, primarily on weapons charges.
Owens, 31, was sent to trial on a charge of a firing a gun from a vehicle causing death and three weapons-related charges, while Sweatt was sent to trial on three weapons-related charges. They will both appear before Washtenaw County Trial Court Patrick Conlin on Feb. 18…
