If you frequent thrift stores, you know that finding weird items is par for the course. I’ve certainly come across my fair share of bizarre kitchen items, clothing, home decor and more in my local secondhand shops.
However, when I heard about an item that was found in a Michigan Goodwill’s donation bin, my jaw dropped. It was so unexpected — and potentially criminal — that the shop actually had to report it to the police. Read on for the full story.
A Human Skull Was Found At a Goodwill
In a Goodwill donation center located at 1167 S Main St in Chelsea, a Michigan city just outside of Ann Arbor, a “suspicious item” — later confirmed to be a human skull — was left in the donation bins on Monday, Jan. 26. Immediately upon discovery, the donation center’s staff called the police.
“The female in the photos donated some items to the Goodwill store in Chelsea,” the Chelsea Police Department posted on Facebook on Jan. 28, alongside security images of a woman wearing sunglasses. “One of the items appears to have been accidentally included in the donations. Chelsea PD would like to speak with her to confirm her decision.”…
