19-year-old Engineering sophomore Lucas Mattson was found dead Jan. 24 on the 1900 block of Cambridge Road. Mattson was last seen at a fraternity party at 1 a.m. on Jan. 23 and was reported missing at 4:30 p.m. later that day. According to police dispatch records, he was found by a homeowner in the backyard of their home at 12:05 p.m. the next day.
While Mattson’s cause of death has not been revealed, temperatures dipped well below zero degrees the night he went missing, and Mattson was not wearing a coat when he was last seen. The University campus community has been grieving and looking for answers ever since…
