Ann Arbor teachers signal pullback on out-of-classroom tasks after month without contract

ANN ARBOR, MI – Ann Arbor teachers have been working without a contract for more than a month in 2026, and both parent and educator advocates admit it may not be long before families notice an impact.

Agreements with all six of Ann Arbor Public Schools’ employee groups expired Dec. 31.
