A 44-year-old man is dead and a 59-year-old woman is in critical condition after a three-car crash Monday evening on Platt Road south of Ellsworth Road. The accident occurred around 6:35 p.m. near the Pittsfield Township and Ann Arbor city line.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the Pittsfield Police Department wrote the man who died was driving a Lexus and crossed the center of the road, colliding head-on with a Jeep.
“Through investigation, police determined a northbound Lexus was traveling on Platt Road and struck a Jeep traveling southbound,” the statement read. “According to witness statements, the Lexus crossed the centerline before hitting the Jeep.”…
