Train derails in Washtenaw County’s Pittsfield Township; Roads closed, but no injuries

PITTSFIELD TWP. (WWJ) — Several roads in the Ann Arbor area are expected to be closed for days after a train derailment, Wednesday morning.

According to police in Washtenaw County’s Pittsfield Township, the train went off the tracks just after 5 a.m. along Payeur Rd., east of State St.

A total of 13 rail cars were involved in the wreck, police said, but none of the cars were carrying hazardous material…
