ANN ARBOR, MI – A summer camp in the Ann Arbor area brings outdoor experiences to children who rely on ventilators and wheelchairs, lifting some campers 22 feet into the air to reach a treehouse.
Trail’s Edge Camp serves 32 ventilator-dependent children each summer, with most campers also using wheelchairs for mobility. The camp uses specialized adaptive equipment and volunteers to enable activities including kayaking, fishing, archery, marshmallow toasting and horseback riding.
