EAST LANSING, (Mich.) WLNS — Brendan Lafrenier is a senior at the University of Michigan but earning that degree might not even be the hardest challenge he takes on this year.
He’s in the middle of running 200 miles from Lake St. Clair near Detroit across the state to Lake Michigan. Lafrenier says he’s exhausted, but it’s worth it, to combine 2 of his biggest passions.
“I started running around COVID, I always fell in love with the challenge, and I kept going further, marathon, Iron Man, 100 miler, seeing people experience homelessness on the side of the street was very near and dear to me, it made me really emotional, it was kind of the first time in my life I realized not everybody had it like I did,” said Lafrenier
Lafrenier’s journey began Monday and he hopes to finish up within the next few days…
