Peter and Cammie Treiber were on their way to their father-daughter hiking trip across Spain and Portugal when their flight out of Detroit Metro Airport on Monday, March 16, turned around and headed back to Michigan.
The Ann Arbor residents were two passengers on a Delta flight from Detroit Metropolitan Airport to Amsterdam that returned due to smoke in the cabin, their loved one Erica Fitzgerald told the Free Press on Wednesday, March 18.
On Tuesday, March 17, Delta spokesperson Anthony Black told the Free Press all 272 customers were reaccommodated on another aircraft. Fitzgerald said she reached out to the Free Press because her husband and daughter were not.
