Saddle seats, animal heads: Inside downtown Ann Arbor’s newest honky-tonk bar

ANN ARBOR, MI — Horse-saddle seats, animal taxidermy mounts and vintage photographs adorn downtown Ann Arbor’s upcoming honky-tonk bar.

Visitors entering the space can immediately notice the location’s red undertones and large steer head above the first-floor bar.

The vision stemmed from owner Jon Carlson’s four-year pursuit of a new spot. He thought it would be a “great complement” to his other restaurant, Grizzly Peak Brewing Company…
