Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital Nears Completion In Northville Township

Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital is on track to open this fall in Northville Township, Mich., according to the Detroit Free Press.

The $384 million, state-run facility will house 264 inpatient beds—192 for adults and 72 for children and adolescents—in 198 single-occupancy and 33 double-occupancy rooms in a 410,000-square-foot building.

The project replaces Walter Reuther Psychiatric Hospital, which will close once patients are transferred to the new hospital, and increases the state’s psychiatric patient capacity by 54 beds…
