ANN ARBOR, MI – Trial dates have been set for a trio accused of killing two at a foster family’s home after the judge overseeing the cases said a joint trial would be an “impossibility.”
“It’s not only physically, logistically impossible – staffing is impossible,” said Judge Patrick Conlin Jr. during a pretrial hearing Wednesday, March 25. “And I have real concerns about managing that many jurors at once presenting potentially the possibility of a mistrial.”
The trials for Keith Finley and Gregory Callhan will be held jointly and will start Nov. 2, Conlin said. The trial for Shuvonne Vinson will run afterward, with the exact start date dictated by when the previous trials conclude…
