Woman uninjured after driving into Kroger near Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI TWP., MI – An 81-year-old woman is “shaken up” but not injured after driving into a grocery store on Wednesday, police said.

Police were called around 2 p.m. March 25 after a vehicle drove into a building, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said. Cmdr. Eugene Rush with the office confirmed the building was Kroger, 2010 Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti Township.

The driver was not injured but was “shaken up,” police said. A pedestrian who was nearly struck by the car was treated by medical personnel at the scene…
