University of Michigan researchers say at-home colon cancer tests worth considering

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) -One team of researchers at the University of Michigan focused on the prevention and early detection of cancer says at-home colon cancer tests are preferred by patients and worth considering.

Mark Fendrick, a University of Michigan Medical School professor, said at-home testing requires a stool sample that will be analyzed to assess for risk of colon cancer.

“This is increasingly popular among patients who don’t need to make an appointment, don’t need to travel away from their home and undergo a prep for the procedure,” Fendrick said…
