The city’s North Washington Street is catching the attention of new business owners.
Ypsilanti’s downtown continues to develop as Kula, a new small-scale restaurant and wine bar is on the way to 10 N Washington Street. The inside will have 12 seats, and is sharing the building with Beara Bakes. Owner Nina Shahin told What Now Detroit she and the team are hoping to open by the end of the summer.
Shahin is working on a menu of smaller plates with flavors of Eastern Italy, the Balkan countries and parts of North Africa. The dishes will accompany the wines, which will also be smaller and intentional selections…
