A 30-year-old woman was shot multiple times yesterday in Ypsilanti Township and rushed to a hospital, where officials say she is expected to recover. Deputies found her on a residential block and quickly got her medical help, while another team moved in on a suspect a short time later. Authorities say the case is still very much active.
According to Washtenaw County deputies, the shooting unfolded just before 6:45 p.m. on the 7800 block of Hampton Court, where deputies located the injured woman and transported her to a hospital, per FOX 2 Detroit. The station reports the victim, a 30-year-old woman, was shot multiple times. Deputies told reporters the incident stemmed from a domestic relationship and that the investigation remains ongoing.
