ANN ARBOR, MI — Shelly Schreier, a teaching professor and Neil M. Kalter Collegiate Lecturer of Psychology at the University of Michigan, has been named one of three recipients of the 2026 Michigan Distinguished Professor of the Year Award, according to an April 7 press release.
The award recognizes outstanding contributions to undergraduate education across Michigan’s 15 public universities. Recipients will be honored at a luncheon in Lansing on April 10.
Schreier has taught more than 26,000 students throughout her career at the Ann Arbor university, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology.
