Nearly 12K out of power across Washtenaw, Jackson counties

Nearly 12,000 people are out of power across Washtenaw and Jackson counties after a severe storm rolled across the state Tuesday evening.

Roughly 7,200 people were impacted by 120 outages in Washtenaw County as of around 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, according to the DTE Energy Outage Map.

The outages were primarily caused by wind damage, according to preliminary information. Power is expected to restored around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday…
