Man arrested with rifle after Ypsilanti traffic stop

YPSILANTI, MI – A traffic stop in Ypsilanti ended in the arrest of a man found with a semi-automatic rifle-style pistol without a valid concealed pistol license.

Police initiated a traffic stop at 11:12 a.m., April 22, on Grove Street near Spring Street in Ypsilanti for a 2017 Ford Fusion that was speeding, according to the Michigan State Police.

The driver, a 21-year-old Ypsilanti man, informed troopers that he had a firearm in the vehicle and did not possess a valid concealed pistol license, police said…
