ANN ARBOR, MI — The D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion at Michigan Medicine has achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Green Building Certification, becoming the largest healthcare building worldwide to earn the designation under version 4 standards, according to a May 19 University Record update.
The U.S. Green Building Council awarded the 695,000-square-foot facility, part of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, 84 points on its 100-point scale, exceeding the 80-point threshold required for platinum status. The certification recognizes excellence in sustainable design, construction and operations.
