The Oklahoma Sooners are still pushing extremely hard for an in-state recruit, and he just showed off at The Opening in Dallas.
The Oklahoma Sooners have a few more players they are awaiting a pledge from in the 2027 recruiting class. One of the players they most want is in-state four-star cornerback Gabriel Osborne.
This week, he was at The Opening’s regional event in Frisco, Texas. At that event, he showed off quite a bit. More importantly, he showed why he could become a five-star by the time he starts college. Parker Thune of Sooner Scoop was at the event and described Osborne’s play in great detail.
“Four-star Mustang (Okla.) CB Gabriel Osborne ranked among the day’s most impressive performers. After losing a couple of early reps, he flipped the switch to lockdown mode for the rest of the day. The highlight of his outing came when he snagged an acrobatic leaping interception away from three-star WR Briceson Thrower.
