Three people are dead and several others remain hospitalized after a violent two-vehicle collision yesterday at W. Wheatland Road and S. Cedar Ridge Drive in Duncanville, a busy intersection flanked by shops and steady traffic.
Responding officers found a white Chrysler 300 and a gray Toyota Corolla with heavy damage from the impact. Two adult women were pronounced dead at the scene, and a juvenile later died at a local hospital. According to officials, two male juveniles were transported to area hospitals, and one juvenile remains in critical but stable condition. Parts of the roadway were shut down for hours while investigators documented the scene and crews cleared the wreckage.
In a post, the Duncanville Police Department said four people were inside the Toyota Corolla. The Chrysler 300 had only the driver inside, who sustained major injuries. Police added that the names of those killed are being withheld until family members can be notified.
