Men indicted by Jefferson County grand jury for murder in Texas Highway shooting

Two men have been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury in connection with the shooting death of a woman whose bullet-riddled vehicle was found crashed along Texas Highway 73 in March.

Javeon Javon Blount, 25, of Port Arthur, and Demarcus Dewayne Dovonte Elam, 28, of Humble, were each indicted on a charge of murder in the death of 37-year-old Shameka Miller of Arlington.

Miller was found dead March 28 inside a black Dodge Charger in the median of Highway 73 east of the Veolia facility in Jefferson County…
