Arlington man arrested for making false 911 call about shooting, police say

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police have arrested a man they said made a false report about a shooting.

Officers got the call at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday to a motel in the 3000 block of Abram St. with a guest saying someone had been shot.

When officers arrived, police say they found no evidence of a shooting or any crime occurred. They said they did talk to 41-year-old Oscar Vela Jr. who admitted to making the false report…
