MTU Maintenance is revving up the engines as the aviation technology company opens up a newly refurbished maintenance, testing, repair and overhaul site at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
The grand opening of the refurbished 462,000-square-foot building at 2100 Eagle Parkway was held Wednesday and the company marked the start of operations there as it began a full-scale test of its first CFM International LEAP 1B engine.
MTU opened the site in 2023 and is investing $120 million to upgrade and expand it to add new capabilities, including full disassembly, maintenance repair and overhaul, assembly and test capabilities of airplane engines.
