Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard launched in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area with the opening of its first location in North Richland Hills on July 1, 2026. This opening has kicked off an expansion that will bring four new stores in Flower Mound, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch by the end of the year.
Located at 8900 N. Tarrant Parkway, the North Richland Hills shop is the first of four year-round, drive-thru locations planned for DFW. The company is best known for its refreshing Italian Ice, made fresh daily with real fruit, as well as its rich, creamy frozen custard and signature Gelati, which combines Italian ice and custard.
Italian ice flavors include banana, blueberry, blueberry lemonade, cantaloupe, carnival, cherry, chocolate, Cola, lemon, Pina Colada, and more. Frozen custard lovers can try banana, black raspberry, butter pecan, chocolate, cake batter, cheesecake, coffee, mint, and much more.
