Sign-related requests continue to dominate Board of Adjustment’s commercial agendas

Fort Worth’s Board of Adjustment has been busy reading the signs this year. Not predicting the future — but just deciding how drivers get to see gas prices.

In the first half of 2026, nearly 55% of the commercial cases heard by the board were sign-related. Of those cases, special exception requests for changeable, electronic display of gas station prices dominated by a 3-to-1 margin.
