North Texas law enforcement agencies are expected to receive more than $51 million in federal reimbursement after spending more than a month securing FIFA World Cup venues across the region.
The funding, provided through FEMA’s FIFA World Cup Grant Program, will be distributed among Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Frisco, Mansfield, DFW Airport, Dallas County, SMU and DART.
