The JCPenney location at the Ridgmar Mall will close later this year, JCPenney Media Relations confirmed in an email to the Star-Telegram Thursday, July 16.
A Facebook post from a JCPenney employee on Tuesday began chatter that the store was closing.
JCPenney is one of the last anchor stores in Ridgmar Mall. Macy’s closed in 2016 as a part of a grander 40-store nationwide shutter. Then, Sears and Neiman Marcus both closed their Ridgamar stores in 2017. Dillard’s remains as the last large store that opened with the mall in 1976.
