Fort Worth man arrested after child nearly drowns at neighborhood pool: police

A Fort Worth man was arrested Saturdayafter police say he fought with rescuers after they saved a child from drowning in a neighborhood swimming pool.

Evangelin Carr, 45, faces charges of aggravated assault against a public servant, resisting arrest, interfering with public duties and abandoning/endangering a child imminent danger, police said.

Fort Worth police officers responded to a water emergency call shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Pinnacle Ridge, where a child had been rescued from the swimming pool, police said in a statement…
