Fort Worth police say they’re investigating an attempted kidnapping that occurred Thursday morning at a Dollar Tree store in Montgomery Plaza by a man who was out on bond for a similar offense.
Around 12 police units were dispatched to 367 Carroll St. starting about 8 a.m. after someone reported that a man tried to grab an employee “and run away with her,” according to the 911 call sheet.
The suspect, 23-year-old Johntay Shawn Burgess, was arrested. He’s currently being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $130,000 bond, according to court records…
