T-Mobile cuts 112 Texas jobs after record-breaking quarter

T-Mobile is preparing to permanently lay off more than 100 employees at its Irving office just weeks after the telecommunications giant reported another strong quarter.

According to the company’s WARN notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission on Aug. 7, T-Mobile plans to eliminate 112 positions at its office on East Rochelle Boulevard beginning Oct. 6.

The company attributed the layoffs to “changing business needs” and said it is winding down the office’s virtual business sales function. The Irving facility itself will remain open…
