Tom Thumb store planned for northwest Fort Worth as area road construction starts

A new $4.8 million Tom Thumb grocery store is planned for a booming northwest Fort Worth neighborhood.

Construction for the 59,951-square-foot store at 6250 W. Bailey Boswell Road is expected to begin in December and take about a year to complete, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Tom Thumb No. 4821 will anchor a three-building project called Boat Club Landing planned near the intersection of West Bailey Boswell and Boat Club roads, east of Eagle Mountain Lake.
