Damage was reported across North Texas on Wednesday night after a round of surprise storms moved through the area, public safety officials said.
In North Richland Hills, about 2,000 customers were without power after the storms, according to a Facebook post on the city’s page. At the height of the storm, public safety crews answered about 100 calls, most of which had to do with downed power lines, traffic signal malfunctions and concerns about gas leaks.
The areas most impacted are east of Rufe Snow Drive, south of Bursey Road, and north of Mid Cities Boulevard, according to the post. Photos from Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV show damage to a storefront in that area…
