According to CBS News Texas, the Fort Worth Police Department first responded at 2:45 a.m. today to the 2100 block of Handley Drive before redirecting officers to the scene on Oakland Hills Drive, a location about two miles away. Police have not released any details about what preceded the stabbing or explained why the initial call sent officers to Handley Drive before the investigation shifted to the apartment-dense block where the woman was found.
The Oakland Hills Drive address sits in the Woodhaven section of East Fort Worth, near Boca Raton Boulevard and Interstate 30, an area dominated by multi-family apartment communities, as previously reported by Hoodline.
