A Texas man was sentenced to over 17 years in federal prison after he was found guilty of sending threatening letters, some which contained white powder, to several Texas judges while he was incarcerated.
U.S. District Judge Brantley Starr last week sentenced 67-year-old Donald Ray McCray to 210 months, or 17.5 years, in federal prison and three years of supervised release. A federal jury convicted McCray in April of three counts of mailing threatening communications and one count of hoax weapons of mass destruction.
