Irving Man Accused of Stalking, Assaulting Wife Despite Active Protective Order

IRVING, Texas – An Irving man is being held in the Dallas County Jail after police say he stalked and assaulted his wife outside the Irving Family Advocacy Center while an emergency protective order prohibited him from contacting her.

Mahmoud M. Alkhatib, 45, was arrested Sept. 23 after the confrontation in a parking garage in the 500 block of East John Carpenter Freeway in Las Colinas.

According to Irving police records, the woman had gone to the Family Advocacy Center earlier that afternoon to meet with a detective about emails she said Alkhatib had been sending in violation of an existing protective order…
