A North Texas police officer has a new kidney and a new connection with the stranger who saw his story and decided she might be able to help.
Crowley Police Officer Quan Shaw received a kidney transplant Sept. 21 after more than a year of kidney failure and dialysis. On Thursday, Shaw and his wife, Whitney, met his living donor, Cleburne school counselor Alexa Nava, for the first time.
