LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety stated that a 22-year-old female from Mansfield, Texas, died in a single-vehicle accident near U Highway 84 and County Road 1900 early Sunday, October 4.
According to a preliminary investigation by DPS, a motorcycle, driven by Andrea Hyatt, was driving northbound on Slide Road approaching the intersection with US Highway 84. Hyatt traveled across US 84 onto what became County Road 1900. The investigation indicated that at that time, Hyatt collided with a utility pole and was ejected from the vehicle.
