DALLAS, Texas – Dallas Police responded to a fatal shooting incident in the 1000 block of W. Wheatland Road on January 25, 2024, around 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Joshua Porter, of Dallas, Texas, shot and lifeless inside a vehicle at the scene. The preliminary investigation concluded that Porter died from his injuries on the spot. The case, documented under case number 013623-2024, is still under active investigation.
