Man killed in Fort Worth’s third fatal motorcycle crash this week

For the third time this week, a man has been killed in a Fort Worth motorcycle crash.

The man killed last night has now been identified.

Police say the motorcycle ridden by Cooper Brake crashed at about 8:30 p.m. on Highway 114 near Texas Motor Speedway. Investigators learned Brake was riding close to a friend who was driving a car. When Brake’s motorcycle went down the friend swerved to miss him and that caused the car to roll.

Brake was killed at the scene while his friend was taken to the hospital with injuries police describe as non-life-threatening. Investigators believe speed was a factor in Brake’s crash.
