A TEXAS news anchor cried live on air as she told viewers about unborn daughters rare medical condition.
Shannon Murray, an anchor on Fox 4 Good Day in Dallas, Texas, revealed to her viewers that her daughter, due in March, had been diagnosed with a rare heart condition.
“In the short-term we’re focused on fighting for our daughter and being her advocates, while also trying to remain joyful and excited about the pregnancy and becoming parents,” Murray tearfully said Friday morning.
“And we can’t wait to meet her,” she said as she wore a gold necklace with her daughters name on it.
Her daughter, Stella, had been diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia.
The condition means that there is a hole between the left and right side of the heart and those with the condition do not have a pulmonary valve.
The birth defect affects normal blood flow through the heart.
