A Kroger store has walked back on a controversial policy due to customer backlash , as they change their tune with regard to self-checkout tills.
The popular store located in on Cedar Springs in Dallas, has had a bold policy for the past number of years, though they have confirmed that is about to change.
This Kroger in particular has been operating on a self-checkout-only basis for years, but this is due to change following backlash from customers.

The store has decided to reintegrate cashiers back into the store, due to customer feedback, and it will no longer just be self-checkout kiosks that customers can use to pay.
According to Business Insider, a statement from Kroger reads: “We listened closely to customer feedback and made the decision to convert back to hosting staffed checkout lanes at this store.”
