Renovations coming to the home of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

The 2024 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is over.

That means the crowds have dispersed, the livestock have moved out, and the construction equipment is moving in.

The Will Rogers Memorial Center will be undergoing a multi-million-dollar facelift.

“The maintenance and the preservation and the expansion of this complex is very important to the Stock Show,” says Matt Brockman, Stock Show spokesman.

The sheep and swine barns will undergo a $40 million renovation.

The barns are more than 75 years old.

“The Stock Show played a role in their original construction in 1948,” says Brockman, “and we play an important role in partnership with the City of Fort Worth to renovate those.”

Construction is expected to last the rest of the year.

“We’ll be busting our tails around here, completing that renovation by this coming December, to open back up for the 2025 Stock Show,” Brockman says.

Also, the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum will see $8.5 million in improvements to the concourse and the restrooms.
