WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A man wanted in several North Texas counties with multiple theft convictions in Tarrant County has been arrested after police said he attempted to leave a Wichita Falls Walmart without paying for items hidden in his pants.

Jeffrey Loran Hartshorn, 65, of Sunset, was booked into the Wichita County Jail on Thursday, February 15, 2024, and charged with theft under $2,500 with two or more previous convictions with a bond set at $10,000.
Additionally, Hartshorn is being held on two warrants out of Wise County for possession of marijuana and theft, as well as a warrant out of Montague County for forgery. His bonds on all four charges total $41,000.
According to police documents, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the Walmart at 5131 Greenbriar Road in Wichita Falls regarding a theft.
Officers said when they arrived at Walmart, they spoke to a loss prevention officer who informed them he saw a subject, later identified as Hartshorn, in the men’s clothing department.
