Cowboys star Micah Parsons carted off with leg injury in game vs. Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Dallas Cowboys were in the middle of a key defensive stand Thursday when their leader went down.

Linebacker Micah Parsons grabbed at his left leg following a third down play with less than four minutes to go as Dallas led the New York Giants 20-15 in their eventual win .

Members of the Dallas training staff helped him gingerly walk off the field as he struggled to put weight on his left leg. He was later carted to the locker room with his left shoe removed.

Parsons rushed against Giants center John Michael Schmitz, who blocked him into Greg Van Roten as the right guard was falling to the ground. Parsons was folded underneath Van Roten and appeared to be in immediate pain.

Parsons had two tackles (one for loss) during the game. He left briefly in the first half with a neck injury after officials forced him to leave following a big hit he took from his own teammate.

The two-time All-Pro entered with six quarterback hits and one sack through the first three games of the season.
