It’s been just over a year since convicted murderer Billy Chemirmir was murdered in a Texas prison at the age of 50. At the time of his death, caused by stabbing and blunt force trauma, the Kenyan-born Chemirmir had been convicted of only two murders, although he had been indicted on 22 counts of capital murder. He received a life sentence without parole for each of his convictions, but managed to stay alive only less than two years after being sentenced.
